Thanet's Got Talent Finals
PA, Amplification, Live Engineering & Stage Management
A fantastic finale to a round of local talent competitions. So lovely to see so much young potential in Thanet
and all for a good charitable fund raiser for surgery that is sadly not covered by NHS. Duties included playback, live mixing,
stage coordination of 10 finalists, a 6 piece band and intro/interval acts. Stage monitoring and amplification, bass reinforcement,
cabling, microphones and stage management duties all supplied for this event. @ The Pavilion, Broadstairs June 2019
Alfresco Festival 2019
Dry Hire, Setup & Stage Management
A second year for me working Alfresco festival. Pleasure all round delivered by some incredible talent and DJs who
have attained 'legend' status. Justin Roberston, Bill Brewster and Bushwacka all gracing the stage I was charged with.
Funktion One Res 2s, amplifiers, lighting and cabling also supplied. The weather even held out until the final day as well.

Ford GO Further 04
Touchscreen Interactive Programming
First away trip of the year. Ford took over the iconic Sugar Factory venue in Amsterdam for their 4th GO Further
rollout; showcasing the advanced in vehicle technology and interconnectivity of their vehicle fleet.
40 interactives deployed and network integrated. Truly unique event in an amazing setting.

Another freelance project for a UK agency looking after conference room troubleshooting, site surveys and
install work. Projects in Maidstone, Canterbury, Ashford, Margate and South East London throughout Feb and March 2019
Classic Sound of Ibiza
Dry Hire, Setup & Stage Management
THE highlight of 2019 being brought on board for Classic Sound of Ibiza's debut event at
Margate Winter Gardens 15th Feb 2019. DJ equipment, Funktion One monitors, amplification & bass
provided & an evening of stage managing a fab event with some heavyweights. Integrating the F1
with the in house system & stage fills was a great challenge. The right frequency & delay settings
made for an amazing sound from a 3x way hybrid system.

PAT Testing
First annual visit to a new local client. 25% of the fuses found in the device power cords
were of the wrong rating. A few rewires and a couple of new plugs and this business were good
to go. This was the fourth fake BS plug I had come across in as many months. They seem to be
readily available in bundled purchases online. Illegal, unsafe, do not use any plug which has no
means to access the fuse! Jan 2019
GO Faster 2018, Barcelona
Camera, Interactive & Guest Experience
Another freelance project for Imagination; this was the fifth installment of the GO Faster program
by Ford. Just weeks later it went on to win 2x prestigious event awards. Guests got to take part
in their very own movie making experience and get to take on the legendary Ford Mustang and perform
some breath taking stunts all the while being filmed from multiple angles and at the end presented
with their very own personal video trailer. Gig of the year for me. Barcelona October 2018
Hannover CV Show 2018
Interactive, Network & Office Support
It was an absolute pleasure being back in Germany, my first time in Hannover too. A lot of
interactives to program and everyday brought new content or amendments to better the message
delivery. Small network setup and monitoring and basic office support for Ford of Europe and Germany.
A fabulous Imagination & Ford team as per usual and everyone involved had the right attitude. September 2018
Chengdu IAA Show 2018
Interactive & Network
First time to China saw me land in Chengdu working with both Imagination's London and Shanghai
offices to help deliver a number of interactives, network infrastructure and monitoring for Jaguar Land Rover.
Very different place than anywhere I had ever been. The country have successfully deployed 5G for
government and security communication and facial recognition is literally everywhere. Eye opener
of 2018. September 2018

Freelancing for Vortex Events at this educational annual conference. The battle between till versus no
till farming & the science and methodology behind it. Setting up rear projection, drape, speakers &
delay stacks, LED uplighters, good old analogue stage lighting & truss. 2x days of operator duties too. June 2018

A Mini European tour from Ford of Europe - creating greater brand awareness of the Ford's ethos of 'focussing' on
what their customers want and value, not only from their vehicle, but more importantly, their free time. Freelance support to Imagination on this gig.
Impressive use of AI technology, video & asset capture for digital souvenirs & impressive interactivity with a 6m x 22m LED wall in some priceless
locations. Berlin's Potzdamer Platz, London's Tower Bridge, Malaga's Puerto Banus & the truly beautiful Milan. May - July 2018

Stage Management
On site for the full 3 days of production - was given one stage to manage during daytime hours, switching
to a second of the seven stages during the evening shift and assisting at the main stage in between -
setting up here for Mr Scruff who followed on seemlessly from the legend that is Terry Farley. Was delighted
to have had Derrick Carter play the slickest of house sets I have ever heard at the stage I was running;
was a true pleasure.

Family Day Fun
Ford's major EU plant in Cologne opened it's doors to all friends and family of the plant's staff for a
huge one day of fun and entertainment. Freelancing for Imagination, I was sent out with bespoke Forza gaming
units to setup and ensure all went to plan. Speaking German, it resulted in me being a host for 90% of my stay
there. These interactives were a perfect addition to the offerings - in 8 hours just one seat was empty for
all of 5 minutes. June 2018

Canon Stand - Interactives & Network Rollout
A freelance project undertook for Imagination, tasked with multiple screens, access points, CAT5 cable
pull and termination. As always, an impressive stand from Canon who pulled out all the stops to recreate
a factory print setup with robotic automation in their exhibit. May 2018
Commercial Vehicle Show 2018, NEC
Interactive Display Programming
A freelance project I first undertook for Imagination in October 2017, these all in one rollout interactives
housing touch screen displays, advanced network able media players, soundbars, network hubs, HDMI over ethernet
& a remote control feature. Programming these was quite the challenge; ending up with over 240 pages of content
& even a "Wheel of Fortune" feature I was able to devise to an ever evolving spec. Both bosses & clients were happy;
these interactives are being adapted ever more to specifically suit each event they go to. This here was the

This dominating building was the first of several guerilla lighting outings in and around Thanet.

Festival Duties
2017 was the third and final year of working this amazing festival. All 3x years I was stationed at the
Labyrinth stage whilst also helping out during build and de-rig days at the Collysillyum and Jack Daws/Toad Hall
stages. Freelancing for Vortex events. Sad that after a successful decade of this festival they withdrew to
redefine their production. July 2017
